St. Kitts Island

St. Kitts is situated in the Lesser Antilles in the Caribbean. The island along with Nevis forms the St. Kitts and Nevis Federation. The nearest Caribbean islands to St. Kitts in terms of location are St Maarten and Antigua. The capital of St. Kitts is Basseterre where a large concentration of the islands approximated 42,500 population can be found. The official language is English and the official currency is the Eastern Caribbean Dollar (XCD). St. Kitts has a very stable political system. The island shares government with the nearby twin island of Nevis.

St. Kitts is a beautiful Caribbean island surrounded with pristine beaches, beautiful rain forests which add a unique charm to the island. The government of St. Kitts works very hard to make to put the necessary infrastructure in place which would enable the country to be visitor friendly. St. Kitts like many other Caribbean islands generates a huge percentage of its income from the tourism industry. With a sudden increase in the number of visitors to the island real estate development has become very important to St. Kitts. St. Kitts has an excellent citizenship program which has been running for more than a decade now. The program which began in 1984 offers applicants the opportunity to gain citizenship of the island through its Sugar Industry Diversification Fund (DSIF and the Citizenship-by-Investment Program. By making a donation of between US$250,000 and US$450,000 a single applicant and applicants with dependents can qualify for the program. For the citizenship by investment program it is required that the applicants make an investment in real estate valued at no less than US$400,000 in St. Kitts. Due diligence is carried out for all applicants to the citizenship program. There are government fees, processing fees and due diligence fees to be paid in the real estate option. These fees are already included in the SIDF option.
